Last year the EYFY team had an amazing turn out; over 150 runners supported the foundation. This year, we want to strengthen our presence at the Baltimore Running Festival through increased participation and fundraising. As we get closer to the race we will contact you by email with information on shirt pickup times and race day events.
We are asking EYFY team members to raise funds for the foundation based on the running event they will participate in:
Runners are encouraged to raise more funds to support the One Love Foundation, if possible. Participants that raise $300 above their bracket will receive an exclusive One Love gift as a thank you for their efforts!
From this site you can set fundraising goals and begin raising money. You can also donate to our fundraiser or search for other participants on the EYFY team and support their fundraising efforts.
The One Love Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Sharon and Lexi Love in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Reynolds Love. The foundation focuses on prevention and combating Relationship Violence through technology and education. One in three women (ages 16 to 24) will be a victim of Relationship Violence in their lifetime, with college age women comprising the most susceptible group. In the past year, the One Love Foundation has released an App and Public Service Announcement to bring awareness to the many people victimized by this issue. The foundation continues to grow and develop innovative tools to fight RV.
Through a partnership with the Michael & Kim Ward Foundation and Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health and School of Nursing, the foundation aims to release a 2nd Mobile Application and educational presentation (curriculum and mobile application for the initiative) this fall.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to increase the impact of the One Love Foundation at the Baltimore Running Festival through participation, fundraising and honoring the memory of Yeardley Love and the many others who have been affected by (lost to atrocities associated with) Relationship Violence. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
